Welcome to QuietHide
I started making these holsters for
a couple reasons. While they can be made for any handgun. I came about this design and construction method, because I
wasn't happy with what was available on the market for my Thompson Center Contenders, or Encores.
Number one reason,
all that I'm aware of are too noisy. I use a liner that substantially quiets nylon and almost makes leather dead silent. The
typical nylon holsters on the market, use a 3 layer system with closed cell foam sandwiched for padding. This produces a "drum"
effect. And traditional 8-10oz. leather squeeks when weight shifts.
I use a 2 layer system, whereas the
liner acts as a "muffler", cushions the handgun, as well it wicks moisture, and is very solvent resistant. The soft face,
is very finish friendly.
Construction consist of 3-4 oz. chap
leather, or 500-1000D synthetic fabric (durables-polyester/nylon). The liner is firm enough to give the soft leather
and fabric, body, form, and added strength. Actually the liner is strong enough, it could be made into a holster
by itself.
Number
two, most others seemingly are a generic "fit" and I found most of the designs wouldn't fit some of the newer scopes on the
market, or custom barrel lengths, and forends. My holsters are more of a custom fit, built one at a time to specific gun measurements.
My standard holsters are open topped, contour padded single shoulder strap bandolier style, with a non-slip material
underside. Belt loop on back for added stability. Also, loop and toggle safety catch, or strap and snap is provided of your
choice. Cartridge loops/pocket optional.
Also, I can and have done verticals,
hip and tactical rigs.
While I know the hanger straps are not cosmetically appealing
to the eye. They are however, there for a reason.
I found that a lone strap on
the back, allowed the gun to pull out and away from the body. Thus, putting alot of stress on the holster material and
stitching. And not to mention it is less stable. I use a "wishbone" hanger, that wraps the holster/gun. The security
and performance is greatly improved. Also, the load bearing hardware is DuraCoated metal. The only place plastic is used,
is on the (removable)underarm stabilizing strap.

UPDATE
Since it's conception, there have
been some modifications brought about by some very good and useful feedback.
The biggest changes are the addition
of an underarm stabilizing strap, most clearly seen in the middle pic of my son in the leather rig. This feature will
keep the holster from over rotating down and out when bending over.
Note:
I made the pic's on the site as small
as possible, to facilitate
faster loading for dial-up users.

quality pic's, contact me by email from the contact page. I will make sure you get some pic's you wish to see, one way or
another.
